Why don't I just start?
I’m pretty sure I have textbook analysis paralysis.
I never feel comfortable starting something new unless I’m 100% prepared. I’m just that chronic overthinker type of guy.
Man, sometimes I can’t even pick what to eat or what to do on a Friday night when there are too many options on the table. My girlfriend rightfully hates me for this (and honestly, I don't blame her). On top of that, I also lean into perfectionism, I always want things done as flawlessly as possible. What a killer combo, lol.
Take this website, for example: before I finally set it up, I wasted an entire week just comparing every single hosting option under the sun. Don't even get me started on the layout and design. Man, did I take my sweet time.
Part of me thinks I should actually be proud of being this way. I constantly see people make choices, even massive life decisions, without thinking for two seconds, only to act shocked and complain when things go sideways. But I'm definitely on the extreme end of the spectrum, I think. I genuinely wish there was an objective scale to measure how hard someone overthinks, lol.
Anyway, note to self: just start, please. You’ll figure out along the way whether it was the right call, and you can always change things later.
